Nelson vs Rubens: The race is on!

The race is heating up in cyberspace as Nelson Piquet goes head-to-head with fellow Brazilian and F1 driver Rubens Barrichello to see who can get the most followers.

Nelson set the standard for F1 drivers getting closer to the fans when he set up his account ‘www.twitter.com/NelsonPiquet_’ in June on the weekend of the Turkish GP. Rubens was quick to jump on the bandwagon and the race is now on!

Nelson is offering some amazing prizes to followers, and you could be in with a chance of winning if you sign up to follow him on the social networking site that is redefining communications between people in the public eye and their fans and media.

The first challenge was to reach 20,000 by Sunday of next weekend German GP at the Nurburgring with the prize going to one twitter follower of a signed helmet visor. Someone looks bound sure to win this as Nelson is just 1,000 short (at the time of writing!).
